Introducing Cymbidium Rosy Wine 5 INCH POT

Cymbidium ‘Rosy Wine’ — an elegant statement in deep rose and wine tones, cultivated by O’Dowds Orchids for collectors and decorators who demand refined presence and reliable performance.

Striking blooms: Large, long-lasting flowers in rich rosy-pink to wine hues that hold color and form for weeks, creating impact on their own or in sophisticated arrangements.

Simple care to keep ‘Rosy Wine’ thriving

  • Light: Bright, indirect light — bright morning sun or strong filtered light. Avoid harsh midday sun that can scorch leaves. A translucent curtain or an east- or north-facing window is ideal.

  • Temperature: Day 65–75°F, night 50–60°F. Cymbidiums appreciate a distinct day/night drop; cooler nights in autumn encourage spike formation.

  • Watering: Keep the potting medium evenly moist during the growing and flowering season. Water thoroughly, allowing excess to drain; reduce frequency moderately in winter but do not let the medium dry out completely.

  • Humidity & air movement: Aim for 40–60% humidity. Provide gentle air circulation to prevent fungal problems and strengthen plant health.

  • Potting medium & repotting: Use a chunky, well-draining mix (fir bark, charcoal, perlite). Repot every 2–3 years, or when the medium breaks down, ideally after flowering in spring.

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced orchid fertilizer (20-20-20 or similar) at quarter to half strength every 1–2 weeks during active growth; reduce slightly in winter. A high-potassium bloom booster in late summer can support spike development.

  • Rest & bloom cycle: Cooler, drier nights and slightly reduced feeding in late summer to autumn help trigger flowering. Expect seasonal bloom cycles—regular leaves and healthy roots predict reliable flowering.

O’Dowds Orchids ships nationwide with careful packaging and expert handling to ensure your Cymbidium ‘Rosy Wine’ arrives in premium condition.
